The project entitled ‘Application of IT in Supply Chain Management’ was aimed at designing SAP software for an Automobile Industry (Daewoo Motor India Limited, Surajpur) based on Supply Chain Management. The software consists mainly four major modules as Electronic Order and Information Gathering Module (for accepting orders from dealers and customers), Alert Message Module (for inventory purpose), Production Planning and Information Gathering Module (for Forecasting, Requirement Planning, Capacity Planning, Outsourcing and Scheduling of Manpower) and Web-site development module (to gather information about products, key features and to place orders to vendors).
