A comprehensive study was conducted in the research work entitled ‘Adoption of Advance Manufacturing Technologies (AMTs) in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of India’ so as to understand the role that MSMEs can play in India’s growth potential. In this, an important way to improve India’s competitiveness through innovation in MSMEs has been studied and several barriers were identified and analyzed for three sectors (glassware, shoe/footwear and lock manufacturing enterprises). This research performed a careful investigation about the present state and willingness of these sectors to adopt AMT, affairs related to Human Resources and adoption of Information Technology tools in MSMEs, again something that has been poorly addressed in literature in Indian context. The methodology covers data collection through questionnaire and its statistical analysis using frequency, mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA, t-test, factor analysis and correlation analysis.
This research work has been completed under the guidance of Prof. RC Yadav (MNNIT, Allahabad) and Dr. Amar Singh (KNIT, Sultanpur) and viva-voice examination was conducted on January 07, 2017.
